Robert L. Dortch, Jr. has seen that work from every seat at the table. He has been a nonprofit CEO, board chair, foundation executive, philanthropist, coach and consultant. Over his career, he has directed more than $100 million in philanthropic investment, including through the Ujima Legacy Fund, which he co-founded. At a private family foundation, he led the team that reshaped its grantmaking, impact investing, and strategic partnerships. He also served as Board Chair of Philanthropy Southeast, one of the largest philanthropy serving organizations in the country.

Today, as Principal of Jordan Sydnor Innovation Group, he helps foundations, nonprofits, and entrepreneurs think differently about how they lead and grow, through his JS Entrepreneurial Governance™ Strategic Readiness Framework. He is a Georgetown certified executive coach, author, photographer and Kilimanjaro climber.
